Healthcare

TGCC knows what it takes to work in a medical environment.  Our team has an in-depth understanding of the rigorous requirements of infection control, patient privacy, and work within the environment of care.  As a member of ASHE, we stay abreast of the ever changing regulatory guidelines and trends in healthcare.

Samaritan Pacific Communities Hospital

Newport, Oregon

TGCC was selected as CM/GC contractor for this fast-track project. Work consisted of a 1,760 sf steel framed building addition/infill adjacent to the main entrance of the hospital to house the new 1.5T GE MRI magnet. It also involved tie-in to the existing building med-gas, fire alarm, power, nurse call and fire sprinkler systems.

Continual and unhindered access to the building by patients and staff was one of the most critical aspects of the project. We worked with the hospital on a daily basis to ensure minimal impact to both patients and staff.

Example Projects

Yamhill Valley Wellness Center

McMinnville, Oregon

The project consisted of the development of a 3.0 acre site (including all utilities, landscaping, and parking) with four (4) new medical office buildings (totaling 25,500 sf of construction). The four buildings were all wood framed construction with various "northwest" themed architectural stylings. The tenants in the four buildings consisted of dental offices, physical therapy & fitness, and a health care clinic.

TGCC self-performed all of the concrete foundation work, wood stud framing, and various interior specialty items including doors, frames and hardware, toilet accessories, and miscellaneous trim.

Highland Medical Center

Corvallis, Oregon

This project consisted of the construction of two 10,000 sf medical office buildings and associated site work. The buildings are structural steel and pre-cast panel construction with brick veneer and membrane roof. The shell was initially completed along with build-out of the owner's pharmacy. TGCC later completed improvements for the remaining space, which consists of a physical therapy office and a Samaritan Wellness Center.

Good Samaritan Medical Center

Corvallis, Oregon

TGCC has performed numerous fast-track projects on the main Samaritan Medical Center campus and has a history of working at the hospital campus since 1994, beginning with a remodel of the mammography building.

We understand the challenges of occupied remodels and additions in a medical space and know how to maintain a high level of cleanliness and infection control measures. In addition, our people are team players, communicating well with hospital staff, project architects, and subcontractors to successfully complete projects that include the following in occupied areas:

  • X-Ray Addition

  • Central Services Remodel

  • Patient Room Remodels

  • Lab & Clinic Remodels

  • Blood Bank Remodel
